Hot Water Systems
Hot water systems have changed over the past 25 years with the introduction of mains pressure systems or unvented cylinders as they are commonly known. An unvented cylinder is a storage water heater sealed to the atmosphere that is connected directly to the mains water supply (no cold water storage tank) delivering mains pressured hot and potable cold water to all outlets. Unvented cylinders are quiet in operation, have quicker heat up and recovery times and are available in many sizes and both vertical and horizontal models. Unvented cylinders can be heated via immersions, gas /oil boiler or another energy source such as solar. Manufactured to a high specification the cylinders also allow for greater choice in bathroom and shower fittings.
